The Devon trio is never afraid of anything, certainly not of the slapped bass, that particular sound from the 80s that can be heard on "Undisclosed Desires," taken from a highly anticipated fifth album. In the daring genre as well, the record that the band insisted on producing themselves ends with "Exogenesis," a mini-symphony in three parts that is reminiscent of the great hours of prog rock. Also tinged with glam ("Uprising"), the album, which is teeming with intricate guitar parts and airy vocals, follows in the footsteps of its predecessors while emphasizing the epic nature of certain flights. Thus, "United States Of Eurasia / Collateral Damage" or "Guiding Light" nod towards Queen, while MK Ultra, which is built on a particularly elaborate harmonic base, sounds downright like classical music. Already dubbed the best album of the band to date, "Resistance" is a dish that is best served hot and will reveal the power of its aromas live.
