2 UFOs with a meteoric rise! Their album "Spring time coming" is praised by critics, even by the legendary US Blues Magazine! Mountain Men is made up of two musicians from different backgrounds. Mr Mat (Mathieu Guillou) plays an acoustic guitar, with a picking style that features catchy melodies. Ian Giddey (harmonica), an Australian known as Barefoot Iano in the folk and blues scene, has been a professional musician for many years, the crazy harmonica player that many bands are eager to have! It was from an impromptu "jam" session between these two friends that the Mountain Men project was born in 2005, centered around a common idea: blues is not a nostalgic, binary, or elitist music, but rather, it should return to its roots: the people. In 2006, they recorded a self-produced eponymous album with limited resources, as well as their first tours. The success was almost immediate, and the blues community began to refer to them as the "Next Generation" following their victory at the "Challenge Blues sur Seine" in 2006.
