Last April, Modeselektor released Extended, a mixtape entirely made up of their own tracks. The Berlin duo are now presenting their new album EXTLP, which features 15 full-length versions of tracks selected from the mixtape. EXTLP is deeply rooted in rave sounds, but there is much more to this adventure than just techno and breakbeats. Across its 15 tracks, Modeselektor wanders between mutant distortions, dub meditations, nocturnal synth-pop and more. EXTLP features a host of guests, including veteran dub singer Paul St. Hilaire, British rapper Flohio, avant-pop pioneer Catnapp, and the legendary Einstürzende Neubauten frontman Blixa Bargeld. Arriving hot on the heels of the Extended mixtape - and the three EPs that immediately followed it - EXTLP is the final piece in what may be the most prolific period in Modeselektor's entire career.
