From 2017, their film « My Generation », produced and carried by a quasi-liturgical soundtrack signed by Mirwais, fascinates film festivals and wins numerous awards around the world.In 2020, it is this same six-minute Pop-litical video, a violent indictment of the excesses of today's society, that Mirwais used to accompany his new single: «2016 - My Generation», which will be released around the next US presidential elections this fall.A title in the form of a sonic explosion, heralding a new album, and marking the return of Madonna's main collaborator as a solo artist 20 years after the now-classic «Production». A striking and percussive title, between hard techno and electronic disco, accompanied by choirs and distorted, psychedelic synths, « 2016 - My Generation », tailor-made for dancefloors, bears the unmistakable stamp of Mirwais. This way of mixing genres, of blending past and future, of combining the experimental and mainstream pop, confirms his role as the most unique composer of the era.
