Melody's Echo Chamber (alias Melody Prochet) announces the release of her new album, Bon Voyage, on June 15 via Domino. Throughout the 7 tracks that make it up, Bon Voyage marries Melody's beautiful soprano timbre with sonic explorations and a powerful groove. A collection on which she sings the fables of her quest for spirituality and emotional healing, in several languages (French, English, and Swedish). On this occasion, she unveils the video for her new single 'Breathe in, Breathe Out'. Directed by Daniel Foothead, the animated clip for 'Breathe in, Breathe Out' introduces us to a mystical universe where we follow the adventure of a pilgrim in search of his muse to regain inspiration. Bon Voyage is the result of the collaboration between Melody, Reine Fiske (Dungen), and Fredrik Swahn (The Amazing). Melody led and produced the recording sessions, encouraging the musicians around her to experiment, pushing them to play other instruments they were less familiar with. Gustav Esjtes, Johan Holmegarrd (Dungen), and Nicholas Allbrook (Pond) were also invited to collaborate on the album Bon Voyage. Bon Voyage is synonymous with a musical getaway, it is imbued with the meeting between Melody and the Swedish band Dungen, one afternoon in 2015 in Angers. Melody describes the members of Dungen as "soulmates, extreme beings, intense and sensitive without compromise." They were already dreaming of making music together, but in 2016 Melody Prochet forces fate by moving to Stockholm, and that’s when the adventure begins. Melody goes to Fredrik Swahn's studio, in the woods of Solna, to compose the album, she recounts: "Swedish nature helped me catch my breath and calmed me during a very anxious time. I was only 3 minutes on foot from a lake and a beautiful forest. Recording the album felt like a life interlude, an outlet for our frustrations as young adults, parents, musicians; jugglers of life more or less disenchanted. It resulted in a sort of fable or modern folk tale that seemed rich in duality and intention, both enchanted and disenchanted, painful and happy, internal and external, while being childlike and adult, violent and gentle. We had no limits, no framework, and we had stepped out of our comfort zone." Bon Voyage is released 5 years after the first album by Melody's Echo Chamber.
