Plastic Anniversary

Description

The incomparable duo Matmos is back! Their new album, Plastic Anniversary, was created using only plastic. Highlighting the ongoing ecological crisis, the band makes music from our waste. True to their art, Matmos has assembled a collection of materials: dominos, styrofoam coolers, riot shields, polyethylene containers, PVC pipes, bubble wrap, pills, silicone breast implants, and synthetic human fat. But where did they get this idea? From the plastic anniversary of the couple formed by the two members Drew Daniels and M.C. Schmidts. With Plastic Anniversary, Matmos moves from the good-natured irony of Breaking Bread (recorded by breaking Bread albums) to the horror of Interior with Billiard Balls & Synthetic Fat. The album is playful and sometimes almost pop, while conveying a very serious message about the consequences of our society's actions on nature. It should be noted that the sleeves of both formats are made from 100% recycled materials.
