After almost 10 years at the helm of the ship, Hooray For Earth, Noel Heroux lost his way. Depressed and frustrated, the New Yorker by adoption wanted to return to something simpler and more personal. He returns today with his first album, which bears the name of his solo project: MASS GOTHIC. On this record, no pressure and no compromise. Just Heroux, a four-track, and "an irrepressible need to put down on an album all the music and sounds in my head and make it accessible to everyone," he says. The result is an explosion of jubilant pop guitars. Mass Gothic was mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, TV on the Radio) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Father John Misty, Tame Impala) at Sterling Sound studio.
