After the release of 'European Psycho' and 'Le voyage d’Andrea' this autumn, Marquis presents his new album named Aurora. The recording of the album began in summer 2018 and was initially scheduled to be Marquis de Sade's third album.
When choosing the performers for these songs, most of which were written by Frank Darcel, Ad Cominotto contacted a young singer named Simon Mahieu from Flemish Brabant. Simon wrote a text in Flemish and performs eight songs. Three other tracks will be sung by guest artists such as Étienne Daho, Christian Dargelos (co-founder of Marquis de Sade), and Dirk Polak (Mecano). Other artists will also be featured: Marina Keltchewsky and Dominic Sonic, who came to sing duets with Simon. We can also count on notable New York guests such as Ivan Julian (The Voidoids) and Richard Lloyd (Television) on guitars, and James Chance on saxophone. Also featured are Sergei Papail, singer of Frakture and former bassist of Marquis de Sade, on backing vocals, Xavier Géronimi and Kobe Dupont on guitar, Ad Cominotto and Yann Penn on keyboards, and Daniel Paboeuf on saxophone.
