Originally released in 2016, Under The Sun is a story told in chapters, and like any good story, the magic only happens if one avoids jumping straight to the end. True to himself, Pritchard escapes easy categorization, which gives his work depth and subtlety. He draws from the sounds and influences embedded in his musical DNA — ambient, new wave, avant-garde electronic, and folk — which he reinvents through a lens from another world, anchoring Under The Sun in an imaginary future rather than in the past. The album features contributions from close friends and artists such as Thom Yorke, Linda Perhacs, Bibio, and Beans, and explores themes like beauty, desolation, and the nostalgia of home.
