This new album is likely to surprise as it presents a calmer Manson, rock, certainly, very often melodic, but far from certain hard rock clichés: "on this album, I really wanted to sing," Manson specifies, "in general, I do not listen to my music again once it is recorded, but EAT ME, DRINK ME is the exception that confirms this rule, certainly because it is one of my best albums, the one I would have liked to be able to make a long time ago." EAT ME, DRINK ME is the most introspective of the albums of the antichrist superstar. Its title, more than a reference to Alice In Wonderland, also alludes to sex, to religion, to chaos, notably the one in which Manson sank just after his divorce from Ditta...
