Although their collaboration goes back several years, this is the first time that pianist Marilyn Crispell and double bassist Anders Jormin have recorded together as a duo. Intensely lyrical and with great interpretive finesse, Memento opens with an intense sequence of duo improvisations, before giving way to a series of compositions written by each of the musicians.
