"Lofofora (Remastered 2022)"
When Lofofora released their first album in 1995, the band was far from unknown: they had been touring for five years with increasing notoriety (opening for Iggy Pop, performing at Transmusicales de Rennes). A year after the release of their first five-track EP, Lofofora's first album (simply titled "Lofofora") solidified the band's strong reputation in the underground scene and beyond. Laying the groundwork for what would become the "Lofofora" style (an edgy rock drawing from hardcore, funk, and hip-hop alike), this album features tracks like "Holiday in France," "No facho (Dub Spirit)," and, of course, "L'œuf," which, twenty-five years later, still resonate powerfully in the ears and hearts of the band's aficionados and fans of edgy rock in general.
For this re-release, the band entrusted the remastering to Magnus Lindberg (who had already remastered "Peuh!" and "Dur Comme Fer" in 2019), and, not wanting to do things by halves, the album will be available on CD and also on vinyl.
