THE EVENT LA CARAVANE PASSE ON VINYL... it's going to be mind-blowing! Through festive and cosmopolitan tracks, La Caravane Passe presents its new album, 'Velkom Plèchti', as an invitation to their home village, a small village that is familiar to all of us, that we know without really being aware of it: Plèchti. The songs are written in the original language of the village, a kind of Creole based on French, and colored with Yugoslav, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Italian words... characteristic of the cultural melting pot that Plèchti has experienced over generations. For this studio album, La Caravane Passe brought together musicians met on the road around its core, thus giving an additional musical color to each song. Between the Balkan brass of the Ziveli Orkestar, the Romanian gypsy cymbalon of Fabian Andreescu, the oriental and Spanish percussion of Bachar Khalife, the klezmer violin of Jacques Gandard (the Freylekh Trio), the Serbian accordion of Jasko Ramic (Haidouti Orkestar), or the vibrant voice of Timike (Le Petit Dernier, ex-Mister Gang), one doesn't quite know if all these people came from Plèchti, or if it's Plèchti going around the world...
