Produced by the eccentric artistic tinkerer Camille Ballon (No One is Innocent, JAVA...etc), La Caravane has brought some stowaways on board: Rachid Taha, R.Wan, Erika Serre, Marko Markovic, and the Ziveli brass band. A joyfully diverse team for a new journey into a mixed-up nowhere: electric guitars, basses, and keyboards intertwine with gypsy guitars, brass instruments, and mandolins. It's French chanson, gypsy music, rap-world, Balkan ska, and electro-rock! The same mix is found in the lyrics, sung in a slang that blends French with English, Serbian, Spanish, Romani, and German. A true pan-European verbal melting pot that tells stories of travels, borders, cultures, and characters. And what if our cyber-nomads were simply kneading the future Homo Europaneo? La Caravane Passe always combines sound with image, with a visual universe inspired by "Steampunk" and "Retro-Futurism."
