This special edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of one of the underground rock classics of the 90s, Smell The Magic by L7. All the tracks from the original album have been remastered for the occasion. In 1989, a multitude of alternative rock scenes emerged in the California scene: hardcore, punk, industrial goth, roots rock, and the hair metal of the Sunset Strip, to name just a few. L7 does not fit into any of these boxes, creating their own blend of punk, hard rock, and gritty riffs, thus foreshadowing the grunge sound, all set against lyrics that are sometimes caricatural but often very engaged. Released in 1990, Smell The Magic is considered a true cornerstone of feminist rock in the 90s.
