Appearing in the 'Archives' series, these 5 CD and 6 vinyl box sets revisit her albums from the mid-70s, where Jazz becomes increasingly present in her songwriting: Hejira (1976), Don Juan's Reckless Daughter (1977), Mingus (1979) and the live album Shadows and Light (1980).The famous bassist Jaco Pastorius played on each of these albums, alongside other jazzmen such as Charles Mingus and Herbie Hancock. The albums in this box set have been remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog masters.The abstract cover is based on an excerpt from an original painting by Joni Mitchell. Liner notes by Meryl Streep.
