Between folk and soul, discover the sublime songwriting of Jonathan Jeremiah. After making a name for himself with the hit 'Happiness', Jonathan Jeremiah presents GOOD DAY, his fourth album but his first on [PIAS] Recordings. The fast groove of the title track is a perfect introduction to this album that eclipses everything Jonathan has done so far. On GOOD DAY, he demonstrates the extent of his talent, through his sublime velvet voice made for singing enchanting melodies. Drawing inspiration from Serge Gainsbourg, Scott Walker, Richie Havens, John Martyn, Carole King, and James Taylor, GOOD DAY is not, however, an album locked in a past era. These influences simply reflect the most appropriate way Jonathan has found to present his songs. GOOD DAY was recorded at Ray Davies' Konk studios, described by Jonathan - who also produced it - as "a beautiful environment to gather six or seven people." He didn't stop there, managing to pack an ensemble of strings and brass of 19 people into the room. "That's what I'm trying to capture with my albums," he explains. "The sound of people together..."
