Poignant, immersive and ultimately jubilant, it is the culmination of themes explored throughout his 22-year career.
Featuring contributions from long-time collaborators such as Vylana, 7RAYS, Ishq, Clark, Emma Smith, Daisy Vatalaro and Cherif Hashizume, RITUAL took shape during the second half of 2023. Its foundations were laid as early as 2022, when Jon Hopkins was commissioned to compose for the Dreamachine in London, an immersive experience created by Collective Act, in collaboration with a team of artists, scientists and philosophers. From the outset, this project had a ceremonial dimension that was, unconsciously, the embryo of RITUAL.
