The Extra-Terrestrial, John Williams has composed for more than 25 projects of Steven Spielberg and has succeeded like no other in embedding the music of these films into the collective unconscious. And his work has been rewarded: out of 50 nominations for John Williams at the Academy Awards (more than any other composer), 17 of them were for films directed by Steven Spielberg. This box set contains 75 minutes of new arrangements specially recorded for this album as well as the DVD documentary The Adventure Continues, filmed in October 2016, about the collaboration of these two major artists with closely linked careers.
