In 2019, the remarkable vibraphonist and composer Joel Ross released 'KingMaker' his first album: on Blue Note, an album recognized by his peers and widely praised by critics (New York Times, Rolling Stones, etc...) Today, presenting his second opus titled: Who Are You ?, the young artist returns to us with a more contemporary sound. "This record is the culmination of our maturity - as individuals, as a group, within the music - it’s about discovering who we are," he states. Who Are You? features his long-time group 'Good Vibes' composed of Jeremy Corren on piano, Immanuel Wilkins on alto saxophone, Jeremy Dutton on drums and welcomes a brand new member Kanoa Mendenhall on bass. Harpist Brandee Younger is also present on five tracks. An album rich in twists and where the willingness to take risks is evident.
