Chega De Saudade

Description

This bossa nova style, introduced by João Gilberto in 1957, quickly made a sensation in Rio's Zona Sul musical circles, inspiring many young guitarists. It was first heard in 1958 on the recording of "Chega de Saudade," a song by Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, where Gilberto accompanied singer Elizeth Cardoso on guitar. Soon after, Gilberto released his own single of this title, followed in 1959 by the album Chega de Saudade, which launched his career and the bossa nova craze. Limited edition 180g crystal clear vinyl, full album + 8 bonus tracks.
