Jesca Hoop's new album, Memories Are Now, is made up of extraordinary and unique songs—raw yet overflowing with energy, fueled by life experiences and emotional depth, set against an aesthetic and delicate backdrop. The 9-track album features the single 'The Lost Sky', the unique 'Memories Are Now', as well as 'Pegasi'. Jesca Hoop's music sits at the intersection of folk, rock, and electronic influences. Her mentor Tom Waits, for whom she was a nanny for a time, describes her as "a four-sided piece. Both an old soul, a black pearl, a good witch, and a red moon." Memories Are Now, Jesca Hoop's seventh album, was recorded at NRG Studios with sound engineer Eric Caudieux, produced by Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes), and mixed by Greg Koller. The mastering was done by Ian Sefchick at Capitol Studios. The release of Memories Are Now will take place less than a year after the release of Love Letter For Fire, Jesca Hoop's album in collaboration with Sam Beam of Iron & Wine.
