In its ten years of existence, the Jazzrausch Bigband has established itself as an institution that makes the impossible possible: the meeting of jazz, techno and big band. Sold-out concerts in electro clubs, jazz festivals and classical halls? Check! And those who think the band's musical spectrum couldn't get any broader will be proven wrong by their classical music arrangements. Leonard Kuhn, Jazzrausch's in-house composer, primarily transports Bruckner's symphonies and the original compositions that stem from them into a lively, almost pop-like song format - with intense grooves and often with striking power, but also with much sophistication and a big band line-up expanded to include horn, percussion, bassoon and three strings. And despite all this, there is still plenty of room for the "jazz" in "Jazzrausch" and the ensemble once again presents itself not only as a perfectly functioning unit, but also as a union of brilliant individual soloists.
