Following up on our series of ISIS reissues, here is *In The Absence Of Truth*, the band's 2006 album, remastered by James Plotkin. This 140g double vinyl is presented in a gatefold sleeve and comes in two versions: standard black vinyl and an indie-exclusive Eco-Mix red vinyl. The album extends the story of *Panopticon*, the band's previous opus, further exploring Aaron Turner's clean vocals (though his earlier, more scream and growl-based techniques are still present). Musically, the album is dynamic, oscillating between extended atmospheres and quasi-tribal percussion. Isis continues its long tradition of lengthy compositions: *In the Absence of Truth* is their longest album, clocking in at nearly 65 minutes. Although the band has been separated for over a decade, their influence on metal remains undeniable, and their sales continue to make them one of the flagship artists of the Ipecac label.
