Isengard is the solo project launched in 1989 by Fenriz, one of the driving forces behind Norwegian legends Darkthrone, because he had many musical ideas to explore that did not strictly fit with Darkthrone's style and music. Under the name Isengard, Fenriz released three albums: "Vinterskugge", "Høstmørke" and, most recently, a new collection of old and rare recordings by Fenriz, to be released in 2020 under the name "Varjevndogn". This vinyl edition contains the second and third chapters of the album "Vinterskugge", with the cult recordings from 1989 "Spectres Over Gorgoroth", followed by the tracks made in 1991 and forming the chapter "Horizons".
