2011, The Île de France Festival commissioned Ibrahim Maalouf to create a work on the theme of "The Wonderful" and invited Ibrahim Maalouf to imagine a musical show around "Alice in Wonderland". To accompany him on this adventure, Ibrahim called upon the "rapper-poet" Oxmo Puccino. This meeting resulted in a unique concert at the Fratellini Academy. Between classical musicians, jazz, rock, majestic choirs, and "circus performers," these two giants deliver a stunning show, a explosive adaptation of Lewis Carroll's work. 2014, the two artists reunited and the dream of immortalizing this project became possible. It is on his own label (Mi'ster) that Ibrahim decided to produce this atypical creation, naming it "In the Land of Alice...". Surrounded by Ibrahim's band, a classical orchestra of about thirty musicians, and the children's choir of the Radio France Maîtrise, Ibrahim Maalouf and Oxmo Puccino build the framework of a true modern and multicultural opera. "In the Land of Alice..." is an ambitious concept album, full of good humor, freedom, and wit. Emotions follow one another through a new work in its own right that we discover.
