Australian band HUSKY, made up of four guys with short beards and plaid shirts, recorded their album “Forever So” in a bungalow north of Melbourne. Impressed by the result, SUB POP immediately signed them, a stroke of luck for a band who were fans of the label. Even though they have different musical backgrounds, what attracts and unites this group is their love for classic pop (LEONARD COHEN, PAUL SIMON, THE BEACH BOYS), rich harmonies, and ambitious and cunning songwriting. The result, the album “Forever So,” is reminiscent of these influences, full of haunting lyrics delicately laid over layers of sound. A real discovery that we haven't heard the last of.
