But Green River's influence on the Seattle music scene spread widely, thanks to members dispersing into bands like Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, and Love Battery, as well as the punk-glam-sludge rock songs they left behind.Green River, formed in 1984, straddled many different genres: blues, punk, rock... The LP Rehab Doll, released in 1988, was issued on a single CD, with some bonuses - but was unavailable in vinyl format for years.Green River's place in American music history is undisputed, but these recordings paint a more complete picture of the band and rock in the mid-to-late 80s, as the faster, louder ideals of punk were changing form.
