This release presents the complete album Gooden's Corner by Grant Green (1935-1979), featuring the exceptional guitarist in a quartet alongside Sonny Clark, Sam Jones, and Louis Hayes. The tracks were recorded on December 23, 1961. The six tracks by the trio were present on the original album, while a seventh, with guest tenor saxophonist Ike Quebec, is added here as a bonus. This track was originally featured on Quebec's album Blue and Sentimental.
