Gloria is a psychedelic girl group from Lyon, led by a trio of singers and founded by guitarist-producer Kid Victrola. Like a family in search of the lost paradise of the sixties, aiming to unravel the mysteries of girl pop, Gloria blends folk and garage in a big pot of fuzz and vocal harmonies, carrying the Shangri-Las and the Small Faces in their wake, as much as Motown or 90s indie rock. After a very well-received debut album in late 2016, "In Excelsis Stereo," and a 6-track EP in 2018, Gloria returns with a new album titled "Sabbat Matters." "Sabbat" for rest, celebration, gathering, and witches' sabbaths, of course. This sets the stage for this new album, which is more rock, dark, and mystical than its predecessor. Adorned with a magnificent cover by the great illustrator Nicole Claveloux, this album advocates for love of one's neighbor, by all means that Mother Nature has provided us with.
