Gloria returns in 2025 with III, a new album steeped in ancient mythology. Carried by the enchanting voices of Wendy Martinez, Amy Winterbotham, and Marie-Louise Bourgeois, under the direction of guitarist-producer Kid Victrola, the Lyon-based psychedelic rock girl group has been revisiting echoes of the past for several years, blending modernity with retro references. Their sonic universe, somewhere between raw garage, celestial pop, and mystical folk, conjures the spirits of 60s rock while resonating with the soul of Motown and the audacity of nonchalant 90s indie rock. A famous witches' brew, a cauldron of fuzz and vocal harmonies, the band's trademark. Since their acclaimed debut album In Excelsis Stereo (2016), an EP in 2018, and their second opus Sabbat Matters (2021), all released by Howlin' Banana, Gloria has performed on European stages alongside Altin Gün, The Soundcarriers, Juniore, and Slift, was filmed by KEXP, and heard on the AMC series Lodge 49, all while making an impression with its trio of frontwomen, a famous three-headed singing hydra.
