Gael Rakotondrabe, a pianist and composer from Reunion Island, is the next international jazz piano sensation. He is the only French pianist to have won the Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Competition, under the honorary presidency of Quincy Jones. Today, he releases 'Shadow', his debut solo album, already labelled a MUST by TSF Jazz, featuring Laurent Vernerey on double bass and Raphaël Chassin on drums – as part of the For Musicians Only label collection. From film scores to surprising artistic collaborations, he has been seen alongside artists such as Antony and the Johnsons (Anhoni), CocoRosie, David Byrne, Charles Aznavour, Hugh Coltman, and more.
