Solo Works And With Orchestra Coffret

Description

This edition holds particular significance for several reasons. It is the first time that all of Chopin's works have been recorded on a historical instrument by a single artist. More importantly, it represents both the culmination and the final accent of Tatiana Shebanova's phonographic production; it seems that the career and performance style of this exceptional pianist have led to this collection of recordings. When her work guided her towards the fortepiano, her natural sensitivity to timbre, her ability to shape the texture of a piece selectively and convincingly, and her reverence for the composer's text gained new energy. This revelation occurred late in her career but was a second youth for her.
