Double Jeu

Description

Double Jeu is the first album by Olivier Korber, who is pursuing a promising career as a pianist-economist. He has crafted his debut album around the fresco of Chopin's 12 Etudes Op. 25. His journey as a concert pianist took a decisive turn in 2016 when he won the First Prize, the Press Prize, and the Public Prize at the International Competition for Great Amateur Pianists in Paris. Since then, he has benefited from the highly sought-after teaching of Rena Shereshevskaya. Following the competition, pianist François-René Duchâble enthusiastically encouraged him to pursue his dream. "His interpretation of Chopin's 12 Etudes Op. 25 was truly exceptional. I can only support his intention to make a recording and wish him the greatest success possible." Olivier Korber was invited to perform at the Chopin Festival in Nohant 2016, at the Folle Journée in Nantes, and at the Chamber Music Center in Paris in 2017, as well as in numerous venues and festivals. He will make his orchestral debut in Paris in March 2018 with Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3. His collaboration with 1001 Notes began in late 2015 when he participated in a master class organized by the Festival at his workplace in La Défense. Olivier Korber was invited to take part in the 2016 edition of the 1001 Notes Festival in Limousin and will return on August 3, 2018. This is an opportunity for the public to (re)discover this artist who is as comfortable with numbers as he is with notes!
