Francesco Tristano draws inspiration from his deep love for the Japanese capital in his new album «Tokyo Stories»Tokyo Stories is the pianist, producer, and DJ Francesco Tristano's ode to the Nippon capital. This "neon jungle" inspired the musician who created 16 new tracks during his many travels in this city. Blending solo piano, electronic elements, and ambient sounds from the streets with notable guests, this new record reflects the city to which he pays tribute: modern, vibrant, sensitive, and traditional at the same time. "This soundtrack represents my humble tribute to the city. The album does not seek to explain Tokyo, but to recreate certain specific states of mind, certain intense moments that I experienced in this extraordinary city over the past ten years." Capturing Francesco Tristano's fascination with the Japanese capital, the 16 original compositions reflect his long personal relationship with Tokyo, and each story of the album crystallizes a musician's experience, from the deepest to the most fortuitous. Composed by Tristano and primarily recorded in Tokyo, the album features a series of guest artists, including Japanese musicians U-zhaan, Keiichiro Shibuya, and Hiroshi Watanabe, Argentine electronic music artist Guti, and legendary French musician Michel Portal.
