Brandee Younger is a talented harpist you may have heard playing with artists like Lauryn Hill, Common, Drake and The Roots. Force Majeure was recorded in the New York home she shares with her husband, bassist and producer Dezron Douglas, and follows live performances every Friday morning while locked down during the pandemic. The harp and double bass are formidable instruments that reinforce each other through their shared resonance, and Douglas's serpentine, groove-laden bass lines often sound like extensions of Younger's harp.
