Halfway between Dead Can Dance and neo-classical music, DarkSanctuary has been crafting dark, emotional, and enchanting soundscapes since 1996. Formed in Paris around Arkdae (keyboards) and Marquise Ermia (vocals), the group quickly established itself as a reference in atmospheric dark ambient. Exaudi Vocem Meam - Part I, the group's fifth album, celebrates its 20th anniversary here. Recorded in Germany in the summer of 2005, this ambitious and conceptual project marks a peak in the group's discography, with rich compositions blending strings, piano, choirs, and various instruments.
