I was obsessed, and remain obsessed, with The Groundhogs, so I gave C93 the chance to cover their perfect “Sad-Go-Round” from their perfect album Solid. I also loved Black Sabbath, but I’d listened to them so much that I never wanted to hear them again. So Michael Cashmore’s perfect interpretation of the intro to “Paranoid” was the ideal way to wave them goodbye and plunge into my visions of LUCIFER Over LONDON, God Damn Him Again. “The Seven Seals…” I wrote sitting at my desk in my Then House in Aubrey Road, London E17, drinking bottle after bottle of white wine until I passed out. My cats then were Mao, Rao and Yao—and Mao had gone to God. Just writing these words, their names break my heart and fill my eyes with tears. So I will stop writing them. We all meet again. Remastered from the original tapes by The Bricoleur at Bladud Flies!, and with the original artwork refreshed and reborn by Rob Hopeye, this 12” Picture Disc comes in a full-colour die-cut sleeve, printed outer and inner. This is one of four reissues of C93’s back catalogue on Picture Disc and standard vinyl, in preparation for the publication of my autobiography in late 2026. In parallel, I am working on many other recording, publishing and painting projects, as well as Watch And Pray!
