Description
Available for the first time on black vinyl! ‘The Mutt's Nuts’, recorded in about ten days, features 15 wild tracks leaning more towards melody and experimentation than ‘Speed Kills’, Chubby and The Gang's debut album. The first 6 tracks are a series of snarling punk sounds where Charlie rails against landlords ("It's Me Who Will Pay") and evokes institutional absurdities ("Did I stutter? Did I fuck"). The second part of the album gives way to slower tracks that push their 50s/60s pop influence even further. "Life's Lemons," for example, is a good old rock'n'roll ballad, with Meg on backing vocals.Disque 1
