Acid jazz legend Chris Bangs returns with a new album for 2024, following "Firebird" in early 2023 and "Sumthin' Else" in 2022 with Mick Talbot. His latest work, "Dream World," will be released on September 27th on the Acid Jazz label. Known for coining the term "acid jazz," Bangs has been blending jazz, soul, and rock-fusion with acid house since the late 80s. "Dream World" draws inspiration from the Mizell Brothers, Wayne Henderson, and George Duke, opening with a cover of "My Soul." This album includes collaborations with musicians from Argentina, Italy, and Chile. Bangs describes it as a "pure labor of love," reflecting his unique musical vision.
