Exploring "hauntological" soundscapes, British duo Beck Goldsmith and Jon Dix are delighted to present their debut album, guiding listeners to an inner connection with the natural world. Chimehours is a collaboration between Beck Goldsmith and Jon Dix, who had previously worked together on several folk-indie albums. Now, they've teamed up to create a new musical project through which they can express their shared passion for folk horror, ghost stories, and the supernatural. Written and produced between Derbyshire, London, and Margate during and after lockdown, the album incorporates drones, drums, gritty guitars fusing with woodwinds, strings, and vocal textures that resist obvious linearity. “We started to gain momentum and boldness in our approach, and it was fun, mysterious, and compulsive to bring it all together (as if other forces were at work...)” the duo shares.
