Description

Mr. B, an album recorded in 1983 by Chet Baker, is considered one of the best of this period. Baker performs compositions by Herbie Hancock ("Dolphin Dance"), Horace Silver ("Strollin'"), and Dave Brubeck ("In Your Own Sweet Way"). The melancholy that permeates all the tracks is felt, at a nonchalant tempo, sometimes slow and languorous. The album includes two bonus tracks, "White Blues" and "Father X-mas," and the group is composed of Michel Graillier (piano) and Ricardo Del Fra (bass). Mr. B is available in a limited edition on silver vinyl. The sleeve contains notes by Wim van Eyle, and the commemorative sticker for the 50th anniversary of Timeless Jazz is affixed to the protective cover.
