June will see the release of *I Used To Spend So Much Time Alone*, Chastity Belt's highly anticipated third album and certainly their most accomplished to date. It was recorded in July 2016 with producer Matthew Simms, also guitarist for Wire, at Jackpot Studio in Portland (a studio where several of their favorite Elliott Smith albums were born). Courageous and exhilarating, it combines mixed feelings, ranging from the haunting melody of 'This Time of Night' to the danceable 'Different Now' to the ambiguous and diaphanous 'Stuck', written and sung by drummer Gretchen Grimm. It's a dark and beautifully post-punk album, with changing moods but always imbued with the band's humor.
