Note the bonus track "Nightmares Of Delirium", a completely new and fresh song, adding even more value to this exceptional re-recording. CAVALERA has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that, to this day, still enjoys the highest esteem, a family legacy built on decades of musical aggression. In 2023, Max and Iggor Cavalera achieved what some would call an impossible feat; they revisited their early releases, 'Morbid Visions' and 'Bestial Devastation', and re-recorded them with bone-shattering intensity. A risk few would dare attempt, yet they artfully and prolifically achieved their characteristic raw sound by means that can only be described as magic or time travel. It seems the ball won't stop rolling as they now enter the final chapter of their early trilogy. 'Schizophrenia' is an iconic album in terms of early thrash and death metal, a household name for those of us invested in extreme metal. It was then that the Cavaleras refined their dark, dreary, and speed-influenced songs into something a little more mature, developed, and technical. Decades later, they have once again opened the asylum that is Schizophrenia, unlocking the gates of this banished and twisted recording which will be unveiled to the world on June 21, 2024, via Nuclear Blast Records. The first taste of the re-release comes in the form of the live music video for the single, 'Escape To The Void'. Fans can enjoy footage filmed by Costin Chioreanu and Olivia Chioreanu during the band's chilling performance at 013 Venue in Tilburg, Netherlands, in 2023. Max Cavalera states: "The Third World trilogy is finally complete with Schizophrenia, Bestial Devastation, and Morbid Visions, all three Brazilian underground jewels! For me, Schizophrenia is the ultimate death/thrash experience! I was inspired to take on the world and this recording shows that my commitment is relentless! This one is for all generations! Play at maximum volume!" Iggor Cavalera comments: "1987 was a very progressive year for metal, with releases like CELTIC FROST Into The Pandemonium, VOIVOD Killing Technology, and BATHORY Under The Sign Of The Black Mark, so it was no surprise to see how we approached Schizophrenia, pushing our limits from a black/death metal sound to a more thrash metal aesthetic. We still had some ideas from Morbid Visions and some new songs. I am very proud of the songwriting and even prouder of our re-recordings."
