"Out of Reach" is one of Can's most underrated albums due to the departure of bassist Holger Czukay and the less central role of drummer Jaki Liebezeit, who shared percussion duties in part with Reebop Kwaku Baah. As on the album "Saw Delight," the new bassist Rosko Gee largely asserted himself within the group, and his more jazz-inflected playing is impressive, especially on the masterful improvisations of "November" and "Serpentine."
