This album is the counterpart to "Bonanza", recorded and mixed during the same sessions at Athletic Sound Studio in the summer of 2011. Bushman's Revenge covers some of its favorite tracks and, with their covers, demonstrates a penchant for a wide variety of artists, typical of young Norwegian musicians who do not limit themselves to a particular genre. Thus, you will find Black Sabbath and the Pixies alongside Ornette Coleman and Sun Ra. With "Bushman Rock", the band even covers itself. The track was not present on the "Jitterbug" album at the time, but appears here in a greatly improved version. Bushman's Revenge's version of Sabbath's "War Pig" is stunning. The band was founded in 2003 by Even and Gard in Skien, south of Oslo. Even was a member of the black jazz band Shining and grew up listening to Kiss, Pantera, Sepultura, Faith No More, Frank Zappa, and John Coltrane. Gard and Rune met at the Trondheim Jazz Academy. Gard also plays with pop sensation Susanne Sundfor, with Oystein Moen (Jaga jazz musician) and young experimental guitarist Stian Westerhus from the band Puma.
