'Chapter and Verse' is the 'audio companion' to Bruce Springsteen's extraordinary autobiography set to be released on September 23 by Columbia. This retrospective compilation will be released 4 days before 'Born to Run' by Albin Michel. It contains 5 unreleased tracks among the 18 tracks included. The song selection of 'Chapter and Verse' accompanies the chapters of the book 'Born to Run'. The compilation starts with 2 tracks by The Castiles featuring a teenage Springsteen on guitar and vocals, and ends in 2012 with Wrecking Ball. The selected songs trace Springsteen's musical career from his beginnings in chronological order of the book. On the recordings of Steel Mill and The Bruce Springsteen Band appear future musicians of the E Street Band. The demos of "Henry Boy" and "Growin' Up" date back to 1972 recorded just before the sessions of the first album.
