Brown Spirits is a psychedelic rock trio from Melbourne, Australia, consisting of Tim Wold, Agostino Soldati, and Ash Buscombe. Their raw and energetic music blends krautrock, free jazz, and 1970s funk influences to create a powerful and immersive sound. True to a DIY ethic, the band records and mixes their tracks on analog tape. Emerging from a thriving local scene (alongside bands like Amyl and the Sniffers and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard), they have already released two critically acclaimed albums on Soul Jazz Records: Cosmic Seeds and Solitary Transmissions.
