Brown Spirits is a psychedelic rock trio from Melbourne, Australia, composed of Tim Wold, Agostino Soldati and Ash Buscombe. Their raw, energetic music blends krautrock, free jazz and 1970s funk influences to create a powerful, immersive sound. True to a DIY ethic, the band records and mixes its own tracks on analog tape. Emerging from a thriving local scene (alongside bands like Amyl and the Sniffers or King Gizzard & the LizardWizard), they have already released two critically acclaimed albums on Soul Jazz Records: Cosmic Seeds and Solitary Transmissions. The label is now releasing three new albums by the band in very limited vinyl editions (500 copies each), bringing together rare recordings originally released between 2017 and 2020 and now unavailable.
