Marking a new turning point for the band, their sixth album, released in 2004, is a true progressive epic. ‘Epic’ does not stray too far from BORKNAGAR's traditional universe. “Future Reminiscence” opens with a brutal burst of old school blast beats, before softening in the midst of folk flutes, delicate acoustics, and the clear, powerful vocals of newcomer Vintersorg. Hammond organ, fretless bass, philosophical inquiries, and other progressive touches flow like electricity through the many inner chambers of the tracklist, leading the band toward its destiny.
